The United Chambers of Commerce held the State of the County Luncheon on July 26 at the Sportsmen’s Lodge Events Center in Studio City, where Fifth District County Supervisor Kathryn Barger and Third District Supervisor Sheila Kuehl recognized SoCalGas employees Hector Rocha and Jeff Catton for saving a local family from a gas explosion minutes before their home was destroyed. A resident of the Sherman Oaks Health and Rehab Center enjoyed a July 4 visit from Posse, a rescue dog from the Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation Rehab Center. The foundation brings puppies to the center’s residents every Tuesday.
